Readings

First: Isaiah 5:1-7 - The prophet compares Jerusalem with a vineyard that only produces sour grapes. ... The Lord of hosts expected justice but found bloodshed, expected integrity but found only a cry of distress

Psalm 79 - The vineyard of the Lord is the House of Israel / Your brought a vine out of Egypt / Then why have you broken down its walls / God of hosts, turn again we implore, and we shall never forsake you again..

Second: Philippians 4:6-9 - If there is anything you need, pray for it ... fill your minds with everything that is true, noble, good ... then the peace of God will be with you.

Gospel: Matthew 21:33-43 - Parable of the wicked tenants who killed the vineyard owners son - the stone the builders rejected became the keystone - the kingdom will be given to a people who will produce its fruit.
